Gallium(III) sulfide is used in semiconductor materials, functional ceramic materials, fluorescent powder and photoelectric materials.

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep away from acids, Strong bases, Strong oxidizing agents. Gallium(III) sulfide should be sealed at room temperature, keeping color, dry and air flowing.

It dissolves in water slowly, which is easy to dissolve in concentrated alkaline to get gallate salts. It is also dissolves in HCL and nitric acid.
