LB-Agar, high salt is a growth media used in microbiology. It supports Escherichia coli growth to an optical density at 600 nm (OD₆₀₀) of 7.

Luria Media are used for the cultivation and maintenance of recombinant strains of E. coli for genetic and molecular studies.
LB-Agar, high salt may be used as a growth media in the determination of phylogenetic groups (A, B1, B2, and D) of Escherichia coli bacteria using triplex PCR technique.

Suspend 40 g in 1000 ml of purified water. Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute. Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes. Dispense as desired.

The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
