| General description【一般描述】 | The antibody MEM-28 reacts with all alternative forms of human CD45 antigen (Leukocyte Common Antigen), a 180-220 kDa single chain type I transmembrane protein expressed at high level on all cells of hematopoietic origin, except erythrocytes and platelets. The cluster of differentiation 45 (CD45) gene is mapped to human chromosome 1q31.3-q32.1. It codes for a type I transmembrane protein and is expressed in nucleated hematopoietic cells along within its precursors. The protein consists of a varying extracellular domain and a highly conserved intracellular domain. |

| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Cluster of differentiation 45 (CD45) functions as a prototypic receptor and exhibits phosphatase activity. CD45 is implicated in the regulation of T-cell mediated B cell antigen receptor (BCR)-signaling. The encoded protein plays an essential role in antigen-stimulated proliferation of T lymphocytes and in thymic development. CD45 negatively regulates cytokine receptor signaling via suppressing JAK (Janus kinase) activity. |
