Brachyury protein structure comprises highly conserved DNA binding domain, known as T-box domain. |

It also plays an essential role in posterior mesoderm formation and differentiation. Brachyury is highly expressed in a variety of cancers including, chordoma and hemangioblastoma. It serves as an immunohistochemical marker for differential diagnosis of chordoma and hemangioblastoma (HBL). |
