| General description【一般描述】 | Krueppel-like factor 4, KLF4, is believed to be an stem cell marker for both embryonic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells. KLF4 can initiate transcription of a variety of genes including PFKP and is considered a tumor suppressor gene. |

Kruppel-like factor 4 is also known to exhibit checkpoint function during the G1/S and G2/M transitions of the cell cycle. |
