| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 3 (PDK3) regulates pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) by reversible phosphorylation. Mutations in this gene is associated with X-linked dominant CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease) type 6 (CMTX6). PDC catalyses the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate to acetyl-CoA. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) induced PDK3 plays an important role in metabolic switch during cancer progression and drug resistance in cancer therapy. |
