| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Ribonucleotide reductase M1 (RRM1) gene encodes an enzyme Ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase, large subunit, which is the regulatory subunit of ribonucleotide reductase. It is an essential precursor for DNA synthesis that catalyzes the synthesis of deoxyribonucleotides from the corresponding ribonucleotides. Increased expression of RRM1 protein in genetically modified lung-cancer cells enhances the expression of phosphatase and PTEN (tensin homologue), which is an inhibitor of cell proliferation. Further, it decreases the phosphorylation of focal adhesion kinase as well as reduces cell migration and invasiveness. |
