| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | TRIM22 exerts anti-viral activity against RNA viruses and is stimulated by interferon-α. It restricts the replication of influenza A virus by interacting with viral nucleoprotein followed by ubiquitination and proteasome-dependent degradation. TRIM22 also restricts the replication of encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). It has been implicated in cellular differentiation and proliferation of certain cancers and autoimmune reactions. |
