| General description【一般描述】 | Sodium deoxycholate is a water-soluble, bile salt and an ionic detergent used as a selective inhibitory agent for bacteriological culture media. It interferes with the growth and incorporation of glucose into various cellular fractions and also inhibits flagellum formation in gram negative bacteria. |
| Application【应用】 | Sodium deoxycholate is used in number of bacteriological media for the isolation and classification of gram-negative bacteria from food and the environment. |
