| General description【一般描述】 | Agouti-related peptide-expressing (AgRP) neurons seem to be critical for the acute regulation of eating. The AgRP protein is a strong antagonis of MC3-R and MC4-R and is expressed primarily in the adrenal gland, subthalamic nucleus, and hypothalamus, with a lower level of expression occurring in testis, lung, and kidney. |
| Specificity【特异性】 | Recognizes AGRP. The immunogen shows no significant sequence homology with Agouti, tubby, tub, TULP1 or TULP2. SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The immunogen sequence is 85% homologous with human and bovine. Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed. |
| Immunogen【免疫原】 | A 15 amino acid peptide near the C-terminus of mouse AGRP (Shutter et al. 1997; Ollmann et al. 1997). |
| Application【应用】 | Detect Agouti Related Protein using this Anti-Agouti Related Protein Antibody validated for use in ELISA & WB. Research Category Metabolism Research Sub Category Glucose/Glycogen Metabolism Western blot: 1-10 μg/mL using ECL. ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 using 50-100 ng control peptide per well. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user. |
